Vampire

VAMPIRE takes the vampire story to a new place.

Told in the first person, you breathe as the vampire breaths, you feed as she feeds and you love as she loves. This intensely written, personal discovery of the true horror of betrayal from the vampire’s point of view gives you a unique perspective. Katherine deals with broken body, broken heart and faces the devil himself to save a broken mind.

This is a brave novel by a remarkable new author. Rarely do we see inside the mind of a real vampire, and a female one at that. Our heroine is violent, moody and highly dangerous. She has no time for weakness, either in herself or others, and she kills for food. With tones of ‘Dexter’ or ‘Silence of the Lambs’ this story brings another dimension to the usual Vampire story. We sympathise with Katherine and we understand her needs for survival, power and above all love.

At its heart this is a love story. A violent, brooding and complex novel, but a love story nonetheless.

If your tastes in vampires veer towards Buffy or Twilight then you’d probably best stay away from this one. However, if you’re feeling adventurous and in search of vampires who deal in death and real horror then give this a try. You won’t be disappointed.
