Futuristic urban fantasy.

But they sire a boy who isn’t quite the kind of son they want. Miguel wanders off one day and triggers a series of events that turns this bitter and harsh world on its head because some factions want the boy dead, others want him to live, simply because he’s a boy.
Branney has done a remarkable job of creating a world just outside our own and something we could well be blindly walking into without thinking. The story is fast, violent, funny in places and very well executed. I for one am looking forward to more from this author.
